Recopilada por el especialista Laurence Cane-Honeysett, autor también de las notas interiores, esta colección se centra en uno de los periodos fundamentales de Beverley’s Records y de la música jamaicana.

Entre 1966 y 1967, el rocksteady se convirtió en el sonido dominante de Jamaica, dejando atrás el ritmo acelerado del ska y preparando el terreno para la llegada del reggae. Beverley’s fue uno de los sellos protagonistas de aquella transformación y llegó a competir con instituciones como Studio One y Treasure Isle entre las compañías más importantes de Kingston.
